Ingredients:
- 200g button mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or parsley) for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of bread (toasted)
Method of preparation:
- Heat butter in a pan and add garlic, cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they release their water and start to brown, about 5-6 minutes.
- Stir in the mustard and heavy cream, and cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper, and stir in fresh thyme or parsley.
- Spoon the creamy mushrooms on toasted bread slices and serve immediately as a delicious snack or appetizer.
